Terrain Parks

The Glenwood Hot Springs has been a Colorado family vacation destination famous for its enduring appeal and for its size—the largest in the world at over two blocks long for over 100 years. Native American Utes regarded it as a sacred healing place. Over the past century famous visitors including Al Capone, Titanic-survivor Molly Brown, and President Theodore Roosevelt called it Spa in the Rockies. Today thousands of visitors enjoy the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool in all four seasons.

Après-ski

Definition: Après-ski (French: after skiing) refers to going out, having drinks, dancing, and generally socializing after skiing. Skiers often stop at bars right after their last run of the day while still wearing all their ski gear.

Kicking back after a day on the slopes with food and drinks is a time honored tradition in ski culture. At Vail, the après scene is as varied as the terrain. Grab a beer and watch skiers and snowboarders make their way down the last run of the day at the slopeside decks of Garfinkels, The Chop House, or Tavern at Arrabelle in Lionshead or Los Amigos looking up at Pepi’s Face from Vail Village. A trip to Vail isn’t complete without a slice at Vendetta’s and a sing along with live music at The Red Lion. You could spend an entire month at Vail and not visit all the options!

Nightlife
Once the sun goes down, the party starts. Vail is a pedestrian friendly town, with too many restaurants and bars within walking distance or a short free bus ride to list. Whether you are looking for a laid back bar scene or an all night dance party, you’re in for a good time.

Some of the bars, dancing, and live music venues are listed below. Have fun and drink lots of water – Vail’s elevation is over 8,000 feet, so staying hydrated is key to making the most out of tomorrow’s day on the mountain!
