Rail Road History

The colorful railroad history of Glenwood Springs and the Roaring Fork Valley comes to life at the Glenwood Railroad Museum.  Located in the historic Glenwood Springs train station at 413 7th Street, across the street from the Hotel Denver, we are open Friday through Monday, 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Come see toy trains, big trains (Amtrak, Union Pacific, BNSF), a large collection of historic photos and artifacts, and a gift shop. Adult admission $2.00, 12 and under free with a paying adult.  Call (970) 945-7044 for additional information.


The Glenwood Railroad Museum is located in the former Ladies Waiting Room of the historic 1904 Denver & Rio Grande Western depot in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, which today serves as the Amtrak Station, 413 Seventh Street. The museum is open 11am to 3pm Friday through Monday. Admission for adults is $2.00, children under 12 are most welcome and are admitted free with a paying adult.
